A builder of high-end prefabricated homes becomes the newest tenant of the Fruita Greenway Business Park, bringing even more jobs to the area.
Nebraska–based Timber Creek Homes breaks ground on a new 65–thousand–square–foot facility just west of Fruita that eventually will hold more than 100 newly–hired workers.
The company factory–builds custom–designed homes up to 8–thousand square feet in size, as well as commercial structures.
An increasing number of trained workers lured Timber Creek to the Grand Valley, and easy access to the interstate was also an asset.
The Nebraska-based company was looking for a place to build an additional facility west of the Rocky Mountains to serve the fast-growing region, as getting finished homes over the mountains in the winter was proving a major obstacle.
The company plans to talk soon to the new construction technologies program at Western Colorado Community College about training workers for the company, which plans to open in early spring of next year.
