State troopers say an Olathe man accused of causing a crash that killed his own son had a BAC of more than three times the legal limit.

32–year–old Juan Jose Prieto–Gonzales is being held at the Montrose County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Troopers say his BAC was .257 when he drove drunk and caused a crash that killed his 7-year-old son and injured four others.

Prieto–Gonzales is accused of running a stop sign at the intersection of 5400 Road and Highway 348. His car was broadsided by a suburban carrying a family of four. Two other children that were in the suburban are still in the hospital. One is in fair condition and the other is in critical.
No word on the adult driver and passenger's conditions.

Officials say Prieto–Gonzalez has a history of alcohol related arrest.
