Crews will continue searching today for a man that went missing after falling into the Crawford Reservoir Wednesday afternoon.

Delta County Sheriff Fred McKee says that around 3 p.m. a Park Ranger at Crawford State Park reported that a canoe had capsized on the north side of the reservoir.

When crews arrived on scene, they found 22-year-old Stacy Bjerk on the bank but were told another man was in the canoe with him when it flipped.

Teams searched for hours yesterday for the second person.

Officials say their efforts were called off around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday because of bad weather conditions but resumed the search Thursday morning. Crews plan to continue searching Friday.
