The Mesa County Health Department announces the 2006 flu clinic schedule today, and there will be a chance for anyone in Mesa County to receive a shot.
The first clinic is scheduled for Friday, October 13 at High Desert Martial Arts in Mesa Mall as well as the Lincoln Park barn. Hours for both are 8AM to 2PM.
Health officials plan to have other clinics throughout the county as well as more clinics in Grand Junction. October clinics are reserved for high–risk individuals. That includes children, who health officials would prefer come to the health department because of the long wait and special paperwork involved.
November and December clinics are open to anyone who wants a shot, which will cost twenty-two dollars and is billable to Rocky Mountain Health Plans and selected other insurance carriers.
For more information on the clinics contact the Mesa County Health department, or go to their web site at health.mesacounty.us.
