Last Day For Voter Registration Approaches

Voter registration continues to climb in Mesa County, and if you aren't registered and want to join in the democratic process you have one more day to do so.

Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Janice Ward Rich says there are 68–thousand active registered voters in the county, and that number continues to increase. She says 5000 new voters have registered in the county since 2004.

Rich says so far more than 11–thousand absentee ballots have been requested for the November election. People can register to vote at any Department of Motor Vehicle office in Fruita, Clifton, Orchard Mesa or Grand Junction or at the Clerk and Recorder's office at Mesa Mall until 7 tomorrow.
