There will only be one flu clinic this Friday after a shipment of vaccine is delayed by the manufacturer.
Diana Hunt of the Mesa County Health Department says receiving partial shipments is not unusual in the early part of the season, but there is not enough vaccine at this time to hold clinics at two Grand Junction locations this Friday.
The clinic planned for Lincoln Park Barn is canceled for this Friday, but one at High Desert Martial Arts in Mesa Mall will go on as planned. That clinic is scheduled from 8AM to 2PM.
Only high-risk patients are asked to come for flu shots in October. Those patients include the young and the elderly as well as health care workers and others working in close quarters.
