A Congressional hopeful makes a stop in Grand Junction Tuesday to speak with local law enforcement about border security and illegal drugs.

On the steps of the Federal Building, Mesa County Sheriff Stan Hilkey, Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario and Montrose Undersheriff Dick Dienes voiced their support for Republican Candidate Scott Tipton. Each one spoke briefly about border security and how it affects the flow of methamphetamine into Western Colorado.

Tipton adds that he believes that in order to secure the border we must build a fence and beef–up the US's physical presence.
