City Meets To Discuss City Manager Position

Video will be available shortly.

Members of the Grand Junction City Council met with consulting firm Reckam and McKinney Wednesday morning to discuss the city manager position that has been open since Kelly Arnold resigned in May. The two hour meeting was closed to the public and the media under a section of the Open Meetings Law.

A spokesperson for the city says the council was reviewing applications and has decided that more research needs to be done on each applicant before the list is narrowed down.

David Varley was named Interim City Manager in June. A permanent city manager is expected to be hired in mid–December.
