Clean – up at the property north of the 29 Road Bridge is one step closer to mobilizing.

Hamon Contractors, the major contractor that helped build the 29 Road Bridge, illegally disposed of materials on private property north of the bridge. The dumping was discovered last August, and since then the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has been monitoring the investigation.

Last week, the company submitted a materials management plan to the state agency that stated how the company would systematically remove the materials buried at the site. Wednesday, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment gave approval to the plan,
and say that clean – up should begin within the next week.

Hamon Contractors hasn't faced any fines or enforcement action yet because the investigation is still on – going.
