The Halloween spirit flew in to the Cross Orchards Living History Farm today, as hundreds came out to take part in the fun.

The festival offered plenty of fun for the family, with storytelling, pumpkin carving and apple cider making. The kids scrambled to checkout all of the activities.

After a quick sugar rush from carmel apples, kettle corn, and taste of cheesecake, they were off to bounce on the "bump-and-jump." The highlight of the day was the scary, and not so scary, guests of honor.
After each one is admired and judged, the votes are tallied up. The best scarecrow maker is rewarded for all of their hard work. Even though only one will be lucky enough to take home the grand prize,
everyone left the festival with a little piece of fall.

This year's free festival ended at 5 p.m. and organizers look forward to next years celebration.
