Local artists turned dozens of loud rumbling engines from Harley Davidson motorcycles into a peaceful work of art.
The town of Palisade unveiled "Harley the Fish"-A chrome–plated sculpture made 45 mufflers from the classic motorcycle, and the artist, Lyle Nichols, hand cut five-hundred hand-cut pieces of chrome to make the fish.
Harley was displayed in the Blue Pig Gallery for a couple months.
Then the gallery owner raised tens of thousands of dollars to have the gleaming piece of art displayed in the middle of downtown Palisade.
