"Stand-down" To Help Homeless Veterans Friday

A recent count shows that nearly one–third of the homeless people in Mesa County are military veterans.

One veteran says a big problem for them is that they sometimes don't know where to turn for help, but an event for veterans could help many of them.

Tomorrow from 9am to 2pm a group of agencies will be at the National Guard Armory in Grand Junction to help veteran's receive help on anything from signing up for government benefits to finding jobs.

The Colorado National Guard Armory is at 482 28 Road in Grand Junction.
