The state trooper recovering from a gunshot wound at St. Mary's hospital has been upgraded from fair to good condition.
State Trooper Brian Koch was transported to St. Mary's Hospital late Tuesday night where he underwent surgery after he was shot three times by a man who later took his own life.
According to Colorado State Patrol Captain Richard Duran, Koch is in good spirits considering what happened. Duran also says that Koch is a family man, an outstanding trooper, and that he's looking forward to a quick return to work.
