Roll-Over Accident Leaves Two With Minor Injuries

The Colorado State Patrol responded to the accident around seven this morning near the Utah border. Troopers speculate that the driver of a Chevy Trailblazer, Steven Long of Palisade apparently fell asleep because there are rolling tire marks on the inside of the median which indicates there was no breaking.

The vehicle veered off the interstate and rolled one and a half times, landing 182 feet away from the interstate. Neither of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seat belts. The passenger 25 year old, James Carlson from Rifle also suffered only minor injuries. The two were treated at St. Mary's Hospital.
