Although parts of Colorado have already been experiencing winter like conditions this past month, the governor proclaims this week winter weather preparedness week.
The National Weather service says people should be aware of weather conditions before traveling on the road; and for those people who are in the back country to be aware of avalanches.
Another thing you can do to prepare for this winter is to keep an emergency preparations kit in your home in case a large winter storm comes through.
