Mesa State Makes Financial Pitch To Legislators

As Mesa State College continues to expand, renovations are in high demand and on Tuesday, two major players in the Colorado legislature got a first hand look at the needs.

Grand Junction representative and member of the joint budget committee Bernie Buescher and representative Buffie McFadyen toured Saunders Fieldhouse as Mesa State is looking to make more than $30M in improvements to the building and is asking the legislature to kick in $19M.

The improvements will include an expanded department of health services, along with new athletic fields and training facilities.
