Roice Hurst Observes National Animal Shelter Week

Millions of dogs cats and other small animals each year find new homes thanks to the efforts of animal shelters, which is why animal lovers are celebrating National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week.

Last year Roice Hurst Humane Society adopted out 1400 pets to local families. As a no-kill facility the shelter does something no other place on the Western Slope will do by accepting animals other shelters cannot or will not accept.

Roice Hurst Humane Society is open seven days a week for pet adoptions.
