In 1986, the voters in Olathe decided to do away with the office of town administrator and in less than seven days, voters will decide whether to reinstate the position.
The town currently has a director of operations and even if the measure passes, the position would not be re-instituted right away.
However, Olathe Mayor Wayne Blair says Olathe will soon experience the growth other Highway 50 corridor towns are seeing and the director of operations position may not be adequate.
