Traffic Headache Brewing As Bridge Work Begins

Video will be available shortly.

Traffic on highway 340 is already slowed due to pre–construction for the Redlands Parkway project, and it's about to get worse.

Crews today are working on the center line of the road near the bridges, which span railroad tracks just northwest of River Road.
Monday evening traffic on the two spans will be reduced to three lanes so work can begin on lengthening the bridges so the Riverside Parkway can pass underneath.

It is estimated to take ten months to finish the work. City engineers are advising that commuters use the Redlands Parkway as an alternate route.
