Candidates Urge Voters To Make Their Vote Count

It's not a Presidential election year, but there's still a lot at stake in Tuesdays election. Both parties say they realize the candidates aren't the most important people in this election- it's the voters.

Local candidates spent much of Monday calling voters, knocking on doors and waiving their signs in an effort to get voters to the polls.

39% of Mesa County's more than 69,000 active voters have already participated in absentee and early voting and election officials are predicting at least a 62% turnout come Tuesday night.

Many analysts say that with so many vulnerable seats, it could be hard for Republicans to hold onto both houses of congress. But predictions aside, voters always get the last word.
