Montrose County Sheriff's Investigators and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are investigating a death they call a probable homicide.
Just after noon yesterday the Regional Communication Center received a call that a badly burned body had been found near the Montrose County Landfill.
According to Montrose County Coroner Mark Young, the body appears to be that of a man and the burning apparently took place at the scene. Identification of the body and cause of death have not yet been released.
Authorities hope to have more answers within the next 24 to 48 hours.
