A recently repaired water main began leaking Friday morning, forcing Ute Water to shut delivery to parts of Orchard Mesa.
Wednesday an 18–inch line broke due to ground shifting as the weather begins to cool. Unfortunately another problem cropped up at about 9:30 this morning as a coupling rotated, causing the joint to leak.
Ute Water workers were quickly able to re–route water to most of the area, leaving all but a one-mile section of B1/2 Road dry. All customers should have their water restored by six Friday evening.
