A Grand Junction woman is looking at 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to a child abuse incident that resulted in the death of a two-year-old boy.
A jury trial for Sarah Beaudoin was supposed to start in early December, however, with a plea agreement, she admitted to two counts of child abuse.
With a charge of first-degree murder being dismissed, the case stemmed from a January 2006 incident, when two-year-old Keaton Anderson died after suffering from a seizure and Beaudoin didn't take the child to the hospital until more than an hour later.
Sentencing is set for early next month.
