It was all about fashion and fun today at the Double Tree Hotel as Hospice presented their first ever holiday fashion show.
The sold out event had about thirty models of all ages showcasing fall and holiday clothes. Dozens of volunteers and businesses donated gift baskets for a silent auction held at the event.
All of the proceeds go to the Hospice, Child and Teen Program.
This program offers comfort for children and teens who are dealing with serious illness or death of a loved one.
Jaye McConnell, Friendship Circle Chairperson, says, "We make it our goal to teach them coping skills and how to be able to talk about grief. Children grieve differently than adults and we try to help them get through the process."
Hospice representatives say that in 2005, more than four hundred and fifty children and teens received grief support.
