Pedestrian Hit In Crosswalk

A woman is sent to the hospital after being hit by a car while trying to cross the street.

It happened at around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of 28 1/2 and North Avenue.

According to police, the pedestrian had the right of way, a walk signal, and a green light when she was struck by a car that was making a turn at the intersection.

The victim was taken to the hospital with cuts to her face and the driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way at a cross walk.
