It's said to be one of the largest train displays on the Western Slope,
and it's going on now at the Museum of the West.
The annual holiday train exhibit is put on by the Western Slope Train Collectors and features a number of active models including coal–loading facilities, operating crossing gates, and crews putting out a burning house as trains pass by.
There is something in the layout for everyone from child to grownup, including buttons that allow visitors to operate some of the displays.
The display is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10AM to 5PM. Tickets are $5.50 for an adult, $4.50 for seniors and $3.00 per child. Family tickets are $16.00.
