Some local teens had a lot to be thankful for this past Thanksgiving, and thanks to the Tree House Youth Shelter, these teens are back on their feet.

To celebrate their progress, the youth shelter held a Thanksgiving feast Sunday afternoon for past and present homeless teens. The youth shelter, which opened last May, is a safe haven for teens who live on the streets.

Dominick Lovto was homeless for a couple of years and says the youth shelter changed his life. In fact, he credits the shelter for reuniting him with his mother. And although he is now living back at home, he considers the shelter a second home.

Dominick hopes to be an actor one day. He currently works at the Cabaret Dinner Theater and is a student at Central High School.
