Man Arrested In Road Rage Incident

Being run off the road sounds like a movie plot, but for one Grand Valley woman it was real.

A woman driving home from her job in Fruita actually ended up at the Acorn gas station on highway 6 and 50 to help restrain her assailant. According to the Grand Junction Police Department the woman was eastbound on the interstate at about 2:30 Sunday morning when her car was rammed not once, but four times. Each time she slowed to let the driver pass, but 23–year–old Jesus Flores got behind her again. She stopped at the gas station, where a friend working there was able to help restrain Flores until the police arrived.

Police spokesperson Linda Bowman says the woman has no connection with Flores, and so far they have no idea why he attempted to run the woman off the road.

No–one was hurt in the incident. Flores was jailed and charged with reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and harassment.
