People wanting to roam the backcountry on wheels will have fewer choices beginning December first as seasonal road closures begin on BLM lands.
The Bureau closes a number of roads each winter to provide undisturbed habitat for wildlife. Closures include much of the Bookcliffs including the wild horse area and the Grand Mesa slopes.
Some roads will have barriers, while others will just be signed. The closed roads will continues to be open to hikers and horse riders.
