An elderly man is killed after being run over Thursday afternoon. According to the Grand Junction Police Department, 77–year–old Dale Ely died just after 7 o'clock Thursday night.
Ely was run over, while he was on the sidewalk, by a 16–year–old girl who was turning right onto Patterson Road from a parking lot on 26 3/4 Road.
At this time there haven't been any charges filed against the driver.
