Truck Crashes Into Motel

A driver makes an unexpected check–in to an Orchard Mesa motel this afternoon.
A Dodge pickup that was southbound on Highway 50 slammed into the Prospector Motel and rolled over. Witnesses say the elderly man was driving erratically just before the accident.
It took about a half an hour to free the man from the vehicle, and it's suspected the man had a medical condition that could have been a factor. He was transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. Officers are still investigating the crash.
