The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a traffic accident in Clifton that sent two people to the hospital and tied up traffic Thursday night.
According to authorities a pickup truck and an SUV hit head– on at the intersection of 32 and E Roads sending both drivers to the hospital. Troopers say the driver of the Pathfinder was trying to make a left turn from 32 to E Road during a yellow light and at the same time the other vehicle was passing through the intersection from the opposing direction when the two collided. No word on the condition of the victims. A dog from one of the vehicles was also transported to animal services with injuries.
