So far this year there has been no reports of the flu in Mesa County,
but that doesn't mean we are in the clear.
Saturday the Mesa County Health Department held a flu clinic to help prevent the virus. Yet, health-care professionals warn that the flu can be serious.
Those in the high risk area, should be particularly cautious and should definitely get a vaccine. These are the elderly, very young children or those with a weak immune system.
For those who don't like shots, you can get a quick spray of vaccine up the nose.
There will be another clinic held Monday from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. at the Mesa County Health Department.
