Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado gets a welcome Christmas present thanks to the State of Colorado.

With the help of the Mesa County Board of Commissioners the organization received a 450–thousand dollar Community Development Block Grant . The money will be used to buy furniture for the new in–patient hospice facility to be built behind the Victorian home Hospice purchased on 12th Street in Grand Junction, and is a big shot in the arm for the organization.

Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado is still about two million dollars short of the ten million dollars needed to build the new facility.
