Tragedy inspired opportunity for this week's Grand Valley Power Student of the Week.
Palisade High School, Junior, Rosemary Dinkins' lost her father to a brain tumor a few years ago, and most of her close family has some type of medical issue. So Rosemary felt a desire to dedicate her life to bettering the lives of others.
Dinkins says, "I'd really like to help people with health problems, to try to help families who have been through the same type of things that my family has gone through."
Rosemary plans to pursue this goal by studying at the University of Washington to become a pediatric oncologist.
