What's Cooking With Trans Fats?

Video will be available shortly.

Last week the entire state of New York banned the use of trans fats in all restaurants. The health concerns related to this fat prompted the ban, but some worry that by substituting this with a healthier fat the flavor will suffer. While others say that by using this fat, its your health that will be affected.

"A trans fat isn't gonna liquefy or break down in your body. Your body can't even recognize or processes it. It stays as a solid in the body which can clog your arteries, which is a bad thing," explains Nutritionist, Matt Warren.

Because of these health issues, many believe the trans fat ban could sweep the entire nation. So, some restaurants have gotten a head start, including all Olive Garden and Red Lobster Restaurants.
