The Mesa County Sheriff's Office continues to search for the man who eluded them in a truck and on foot Thursday.
Deputies attempted to arrest Michael Pimentel on charges of possession of a weapon by a previous offender and possession of a controlled substance by a special offender. But when they arrived at a Whitewater home Pimentel was at, he fled the scene and eventually got away, but not before causing another car to go off the road.
Pimentel now faces additional charges of felony eluding, reckless driving, vehicular assault, and leaving the scene of an accident.
