Horse drawn carriages and old–time carolers fill the streets of Downtown Palisade, as the old–fashioned Christmas celebration was in full swing.

Hundreds came out to enjoy the holiday festivities as they sipped on hot choco, warm soup, and of course, some of Palisade's best wine.
All of this was done in the spirit of the olden days.

Leif Johnson with the Palisade Chamber of Commerce says, "Palisade has a long history and we want to capture the feeling and ambiance around here. Palisade encompasses and old fashion fell, so we wanted to play off that and make it warm and festive."

The highlight of Saturday's celebration was the parade of lights, ending with the lighting of the Christmas Tree in the heart of downtown Palisade.
