A Grand Junction church is missing more than $800 worth merchandise for its annual yard sale after the storage unit it's in is burglarized.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, the security lock on a storage unit located at 510 Centennial Road was cut and $855 worth of property belonging the Crossroads United Methodist Church was stolen including a three piece living room set valued at $600, a recliner, dishwasher, dishes, skis and golf clubs. The church would have sold the items in a yard sale to raise money for its Senior Day Break Program, community projects and paying bills.
