Mesa County Commissioner Receives National Recognition

Video will be available shortly.

Mesa County Commissioner Janet Rowland was honored at Monday's Board of Commissioner's meeting as she receives national recognition for her work.

Rowland has been honored with the Elizabeth Prebich Award by the National Association of County Human Services Administrators for her work in developing awareness of the role human services plays in local, state and national policy,
her work in identifying the needs of families, and her role in developing the Mesa County Methamphetamine Task Force.

The Elizabeth Prebich award was given at the group's annual conference earlier this month, and is named posthumously for a Minnesota commissioner involved in women's and children's issues.
