When approved in February, the 7th St. corridor plan had some residents asking why, however, the plan is steadily moving forward.
The plan will transform 7th St. between Grand and Colorado Avenues from a four-lane to a three-lane roadway.
Despite the subtracting of lanes, the design calls for three sets of traffic signals to be removed and a round-a-bout placed at the intersection of 7th and Main Streets.
There are still concerns over the $3 M project, particularly with the round-a-bout handling emergency vehicles, however, those involved say potential problems have been addressed.
Bids for construction should come back to the city by February, with groundbreaking likely taking place in March.
