Today was one of his last days as County Commissioner , but Tillie Bishop and his wife Pat won't be packing for a vacation any time soon.
Today friends, co–workers, mayors and other officials gathered to honor Bishop. In a career spanning decades Bishop has served as a state Representative and as a state Senator for more than two decades. During that time he authored 900 pieces of legislation, and though he leaves this job he enters a new career as a Regent for the University of Colorado.
Mesa County Administrator Jon Peacock also thanked Bishop's wife for her long service to the state, as she has weathered long days without her husband by her side.
