Inches are turning into feet as a major storm takes aim at the front range, and it's causing quite the snowball effect as more and more travelers are forced off course.
Hundreds trying to fly to Denver from Grand Junction were stranded at Walker Field Airport Wednesday along with those who's planes were diverted. For those with mountain destinations like Aspen, airlines have made other arrangements like hiring shuttles to take them to their final destination for free.
Other travelers weren't so lucky and with no rental cars left many had to rely on family members to pick them up and take them home for the holidays.
One problem facing the folks at Walker Field Airport is that they can't just book stranded passengers on flights because most are already sold out.
