Students Bring Holiday Cheer To Local Family

Video will be available shortly.

It's a sad fact, but many families in the grand valley wouldn't have a Christmas if it wasn't for the generosity of others.

When 8th grade students at Redlands Middle School heard there was a family at school that wasn't going to have a Christmas they stepped up and gathered more than $1800 worth of gifts.

One student even used money she had earned babysitting to buy the family cook ware and an electronic dart board. MP3 players, gift certificates for groceries, clothing and skateboards are just some of the many gifts the more than 100 students gathered.

No one in this class knows who exactly the gifts are for- and it doesn't matter- they just can't wait to hear how surprised the family will be. Students even bought them a Christmas Tree and decorated it so that the family will have one every year from now on.
