The condition of a woman who lost her husband in a car crash is improving.

According to officials with St. Mary's Hospital, Felipa Solis is in fair condition.

Solis and her husband were involved in a five car crash on Monarch Pass Sunday. The car they were in was hit head-on by 79–year–old Ray Stout from Montrose. Stout and Mr. Solis were killed in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
