With the former Christmas tree recycling centers in Grand Junction and Orchard Mesa closed due to Riverside Parkway construction, Mesa County officials are asking people to take their trees to the composting facility at the Mesa County Landfill. The facility is open from Tuesday through Saturday from 8AM to 4:30PM.
The program is free, but remember-- tinsel and other decorations must be removed and flocked and artificial trees are not accepted.
