A Grand Junction hotel manager has emerged as the winner of a $4.2 million Lotto Jackpot.
Debra Revis claimed her prize Tuesday, choosing to receive the money in cash -- a prize officials say will be worth $2.1 million before taxes.
Lottery officials say Revis told them a newspaper error almost cost her the money. She tells them she checked her numbers in the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel after the July 4th drawing and saw she had only matched five of the six numbers.
Her son later checked the Colorado Lottery website and discovered the newspaper had a misprint -- and that his mother had in fact won the lottery.
"I was in disbelief," said Revis. "I don't think any of us slept that night."
Revis told lottery officials she doesn't have any immediate plans on how to spend the money.
"We're going to let it sink in and just take it slow," said Revis. "Maybe someday we can retire comfortably."
Revis says she's only a casual player of Colorado Lottery games and that the largest prize she had ever won before this was $2 on a scratch ticket.
Officials say the lucky ticket was a "quick pick" she bought in her hometown of Palisade.
