For the second time in one week, Denver International Airport is canceling some flights as a precautionary measure. The cancellations and delays have created some side effects for flights leaving Walker Field to Denver International Airport. United Express and Great Lakes Airlines have canceled flights traveling to Denver as a preemptive measure. Rex Tippetts, Walker Field Airport Manager, said it's better for the Grand Junction passengers to have their flight's canceled, then to be stranded at another location.
