Authorities say a man has died after a commercial raft hit a rock and capsized on the Arkansas River in Western Colorado.

Chaffee County Sheriff's Officials say the 49–year–old Texas man was responsive when a boat rescued him this morning, but he lost
consciousness after reaching shore.

Rescuers were unable to revive him. His name wasn't immediately released.

The accident happened at Pinball Rapid in Brown's Canyon between Salida and Buena Vista.

On Tuesday, two Denver–area men died after being thrown from a raft on the river.
