From fixing up the fire department to adding more Grand Junction Police officers, the City of Grand Junction has asked for millions of dollars worth of money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Out of the $40 million dollars they applied for the city has been approved for $250,000 for a records management system and computer–aided dispatch and today.

CDOT announced Thursday the city has received $1.5 million for a new maintenance facility for Grand Valley Transit.
